The new Olympus Dictation application for iOS® and Android™ allows users to capture recordings on the go – and instantly insert them into their office workflows. With the Olympus Dictation app, users can create crystal-clear voice recordings anywhere with their smartphone. Encrypted dictation files can then be emailed or sent directly into the organization’s Olympus Dictation Management System workflow for automatic routing to a transcriptionist, voice-recognition software or a secure archive. That means increased efficiency, decreased costs and more done in less time.
Fully integrated with ODMS software
By using the Olympus Dictation App and Olympus Dictation Delivery Service, users are able to transmit files in either DSS or encrypted DSS Pro file format to the Olympus Dictation Management System (ODMS) transcription module, allowing for increased business efficiency and uninterrupted workflow without worrying about compromising security.
Encrypt files and modify data directly on your smartphone
Encrypt files and modify metadata (i.e. Author IDs) directly on your smartphone - using the Olympus Dictation App, you can also ensure your encrypted Smartphone dictations include all the information available as you would with a dedicated device. For example, it is possible to define worktypes for your dictations and also set priorities for individual dictations.
Send files individually or in batches via email or the Olympus Dictation Delivery Service (ODDS) servers
The Olympus Dictation Delivery Service (ODDS) serves as a cloud-based platform for the central management of the Smartphone dictation users in your work environment. Its configurability ensures dictations are sent to the correct people within the organisation. Via the ODDS, administrators can pre-define settings for users of the App - e.g. security settings, recording format and available worktypes, whilst also defining the workflow for individual users. All a user has to do is send finished dictations and ODDS ensures they are transferred to the correct transcriptionist.
Advanced recording tools
Adjust the sensitivity of the microphone, activate Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA) to record by voice activation, enable Push to Talk so that voice is only recorded when the Record button is being pressed, and use the Bluetooth Input setting to record your voice via a compatible Bluetooth headset.
